DRIVERS CAN BE AS YOUNG AS 12 YEARS OLD WITH PARENTS CONSENT FORMS SIGNED (IN PERSON) WITH AMIE FOX FROM OUR OFFICE. THERE WILL BE NO COMPROMISE ON OUR SAFETY RULES, SAME AS ALL THE OTHER CLASSES AT GENESEE. MORE RULES SOON.

 

 

SAFETY:                   

 

  *** NEEDED BY YOUR FIRST PRACTICE OR RACE.

 

NO MOTORCYCLE OR GO-KART HELMETS

 

*** ALL DRIVERS MUST WEAR A PROPER FITTING SA2000 OR NEWER SNELL APPROVED FULL FACE HELMET.

 Snell sticker must be attached and readable.

 

*** CLEAN SFI FULL DRIVERS SUIT, QUILTED OR WITH UNDERWEAR, HEAD SOCKS, GLOVES, FOOT SOCKS, NECK BRACE AND SHOES  TO SFI SPECIFICATION 3.2A AND 3.3A/5 (FIRE RATED UNDERWEAR MANDATORY IF SINGLE LAYER FIRE SUIT IS WORN). SFI labels must be attached to drivers suit.

 

Helmet must be worn at all times when driver is in vehicle.

 

*** NECK BRACE MANDATORY.

 

*** Aluminum racing seat mandatory and fastened to frame with 6 – 3/8 grade 5 bolts.

 

*** Seat Belts must be no older than 4 years, and must be 5 point design and bolted to the frame or cage with 3/8"-1/2" grade 5 bolts, no chains, no tears, rips or frayed belts will be allowed.

 

*** Window net, full ribbon web style not string, no sprint car types.

 

All steel battery box is mandatory and can be located under hood or in trunk area.

            

No mounting battery inside of drivers compartment.

.

Battery kill switch mandatory, Fuel shut-off required, both must be clearly marked ON / OFF and in reach of the driver.

 

It is suggested that the battery switch be marked with YELLOW.

Steel driveshaft with safety loop 6” from front yoke mandatory.

 

All teams must have a fire extinguisher in their pits.

 

Fenders and  tin must be crimped and rolled, NO SHARP EDGES.

 

TOW HOOKS FRONT AND REAR MANDATORY.

 

 

NUMBERS/LETTERING:

 

ALL CARS TO BE ADEQUATELY NUMBERED WITH 18” HIGH NUMBERS ON BOTH SIDES, ROOF.

(RECOMMENDED) REAR DECK NUMBER FOR SCORING PURPOSES.

 

CONSISTENT WITH THE DIRT RULES, ALL CLASSES (INCLUDING BANDITS) WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE THEIR NAME ABOVE, BELOW, OR THRU THEIR NUMBERS WITH AT LEAST 6” LETTERS. 

 

NO DUPLICATE NUMBERS.

 

3 OR MORE NUMBERS/LETTERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOU BEING SCORED CORRECTLY.

 

CAR MUST BE NEATLY PAINTED AND LETTERED.

 

TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR RACECAR AND OPERATION. CREWS MUST ALSO BE NEAT AND PRESENTABLE. BE PROFESSIONAL.

 

AVOID DARK COLORS UNLESS CONTRASTING STRIPE OR COLOR PANELS ARE USED. THIS IS FOR YOUR PROTECTION.

 

 

BODY:

Any four-cylinder sedan, subcompact or compact car. No convertibles, station wagons, two seat sport cars or four wheel drive cars. Front engine cars only. No CAMAROS or FIREBIRDS. MINIMUM WEIGHT 2500 LBS. WITH DRIVER.

Stock original unibody with full stock floor and front and rear firewall.
 
Rubber stock style bumper covers may replace stock bumper. Side nerf bars allowed. Must be tight to the body, with smooth rounded or welded ends. Nerf bars to run between tires only. Size not to exceed 1 ½" diameter. Ends must be turned to the inside of body
 
ALL glass and flammable interior must be removed. Wire screen must replace windshield.
 
Must have completed four-point cage installed in a safe, professional manner (MINIMUM 1 ½" .095 WALL). On driver's side of cage - .120 wall tubing HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! With minimum three door bars on drivers side (or two door bars with added diagonal bar), or three horizontal door bars on passenger side. Roll cage in driver's area to be padded with approved racing type roll bar padding.
 
High back aluminum racing seat installed with 6-3/8 grade 5 bolts.

Seat must be securely fastened to roll cage (no floorboard mounts). Fuel cell must be securely mounted in trunk area.

FUEL CELL: Approved fuel cell in steel container is MANDATORY.

FUEL CELL MUST BE SECURELY MOUNTED OR YOU WILL NOT RACE.

Cars must have a rollover vent tube from the fuel cell. Must be fastened lower than the  bottom of tank.

Chassis must retain stock suspension. Stock type shocks and springs must be mounted in stock location. Rear end may be locked. Adjustable spring buckets may be used in the rear only,  NO jack bolt type adjusters allowed.
 
Tires and Wheels - 7" maximum width steel wheel, 13" OR 14" diameter, maximum 7.5" tread width on tires, DOT tires only. DOT passenger car recap allowed - tires must durometer no less than 45 at 80 degrees or less. (Based on the tech inspectors durometer). No racing tires or snow tires. No grooving or siping of tires. NOTE: Double backed steel wheels or ½" studs VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
 
Engine - Must remain stock as manufactured, must be same engine as make and model of vehicle. 2500 cc engine is not allowed in Ford or Mercury cars.
 
No porting or polishing of head or intake.

MILLING OF THE HEAD TO CLEAN UP GASKET SURFACE IS PERMITTED

 
Block may be decked to create TRUE surface for the head, and may be bored up to .040 over. Four-cylinder block only, with max. two valves (original stock size) per cylinder, single hydraulic camshaft only. Aftermarket adjustable timing pulley will be allowed.
 
One carburetor, stock only, single or two barrel, with no machine work on carburetor. The only aftermarket carburetor allowed will be either the Holley 500 cfm two barrel (part numbers 0-4412S or 0-4412C only) or Holley 350 cfm two barrel. Holley part # 0-80583 (4412 HP) will not be allowed. Carburetor must remain stock as manufactured with the following alterations allowed: holes may be drilled in throttle plates for proper idling; removal of choke plate and shaft; replacement of power valve, accelerator pump, cam and discharge nozzles and jets with stock unaltered Holley parts.

A max. one inch adapter is permitted (aluminum or steel adapter only, no phonetic or other materials).

Stock 2-barrel intake, no machine work or alterations unless intake is for fuel injection. Fuel injected intake may have machine work done as needed to allow mounting of carburetor-absolutely no other alteration allowed.

Inspection plug in oil pan mandatory must be located across from one rod. No inspection hole will require oil pan to be removed for internal inspection

 
No fuel injection, no electric fuel pump on engines which use mechanical pump. For engines, which use electric fuel pump, there must be a clearly marked separate shut-off switch for electric line to pump.
 
No rotary engines, or turbo charged engines.
 
No headers. Stock cast iron exhaust only no alterations allowed to pipes.
 
No aluminum flywheels.
 
Aftermarket aluminum pulleys for water pump and crankshaft will be allowed.
 
NO MSD IGNITIONS.
 
Mufflers - Stock unaltered mufflers are mandatory. Must have offset inlet and outlet, with a max. 2" diameter.
 
Battery - 12 volt only, must be mounted under hood or in trunk area.

NO inside cockpit mounting of battery. Must be securely mounted, and if in trunk area, must be mounted in approved marine safety box.

A main battery shut-off switch, clearly marked and in reach of both driver and safety crews, is highly recommended.

All points earned per race event, are credited to that driver. Substitute driver or drivers will not collect points for the car.
