SAFETY: *** NEEDED BY YOUR FIRST PRACTICE OR RACE.
NO MOTORCYCLE HELMETS
*** ALL DRIVERS MUST WEAR A PROPER FITTING SA2000 OR NEWER SNELL APPROVED FULL FACE HELMET.
Snell sticker must be attached and readable.
*** CLEAN SFI FULL DRIVERS SUIT, QUILTED OR WITH UNDERWEAR, HEAD SOCKS, GLOVES, FOOT SOCKS, NECK BRACE AND SHOES TO SFI SPECIFICATION 3.2A AND 3.3A/5 (FIRE RATED UNDERWEAR MANDATORY IF SINGLE LAYER FIRE SUIT IS WORN). SFI labels must be attached to drivers suit.
Helmet must be worn at all times when driver is in vehicle.
*** NECK BRACE MANDATORY.
*** Aluminum racing seat mandatory and fastened to frame with 6 – 3/8 grade 5 bolts.
*** Seat Belts must be no older than 4 years, and must be 5 point design and bolted to the frame or cage with 3/8"-1/2" grade 5 bolts, no chains, no tears, rips or frayed belts will be allowed.
*** Window net, full ribbon web style not string, no sprint car types.
All steel battery box is mandatory and can be located under hood or in trunk area.
No mounting battery inside of drivers compartment.
Battery kill switch mandatory, Fuel shutoff required, both must be clearly marked ON / OFF and in reach of the driver.
It is suggested that the battery switch be marked with YELLOW.
Fuel shut off marked with red.
Steel driveshaft with safety loop 6” from front yoke mandatory.
All teams must have a fire extinguisher in their pits.
Fenders and tin must be crimped and rolled, NO SHARP EDGES.
TOW HOOKS FRONT AND REAR MANDATORY.
FUEL CELL: Approved fuel cell in steel container is MANDATORY.
FUEL CELL MUST BE SECURELY MOUNTED OR YOU WILL NOT RACE.

ALL CARS...ROLL OVER VENT
BODY:
Any American made rear wheel drive car will be acceptable, 107 inch minimum wheelbase.
MUST USE STOCK STEEL ROOF FOR YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR USED.
No Straight panels without OEM bends.
Aftermarket aluminum allowed-Must remain stock appearing.
Uni-body cars must be tied rear frame rail to front rail.
All cars with firewalls that are stock OEM manufactured and in factory stock location. This includes all firewalls that start behind the distributor and extend across to the drivers side fender as per the 2006 rule book will weigh 3100 pounds minimum, with any rear weight percentage. Any car with an altered fire wall, this includes any home made fire walls will weigh 3100 pounds minimum but will have a 50% rear maximum weight percentage and will be checked for rear percentage before the start of the race. Firewall may be repaired with 20-gauge steel or .063 aluminum. All altered firewall cars will be weighed before the race.
No holes allowed in driver’s compartment.
Fenders may be cut for wheel clearance no sharp edges.
Fender must have a rolled edge in wheel well, no sharp edges.
All hoods and trunks must be securely fastened and the back of hood must be sealed off from the driver’s compartment.
No holes in hood, hood scoop if used must be sealed and no more than 2 inches high.
ALL glass, plastic, upholstery, lights, mirror, and chrome must be removed.
Windshield opening must be covered with ½ inch square wire screen of heavy gage wire with 2 support rods, or a 1 inch piece of .090 wall tubing windshield center support welded to the halo and dash bar.
Doors must be securely welded or bolted.
Inner fender panels may be removed.
Rear spoilers not to exceed 4 inch high and no wider than rear deck lid.
BRAKES:
OEM brakes on all Four Corners.
Brake balance bar allowed but with no external bias adjusters in cockpit of car.
No floor mounted master cylinders. Pedals must be in stock location.
NO adjustable brake valves allowed.
4 wheel brakes are mandatory and will be checked.
Front and rear OEM disk brakes allowed.
Single piston OEM cast iron calipers only.
NO aftermarket calipers.
All rear ends must use all steel mounting brackets for disc brakes, no aluminum brackets.
BUMPERS:
Front bumpers must be stock and in stock location and be capped to fender.
Bumper must be for year and make of car being used.
Reinforcement of plastic bumper covers or nose piece with maximum One length of 1 ½ inch round with ends capped.
Steel bumper, 1” OD tubing will be allowed only, one bumper mount per side.
No channel iron or aluminum channel allowed in bumper area.
If using aftermarket nose piece MAX.1- ½ OD .125 WALL and ends must be capped. No sharp edges.
Inner hoops for reinforcement allowed inside hood and trunk compartments. Maximum 1-1/2” tubing.
Nerfbars allowed but remain tight to body and 1 1/2” inch pipe or tubing EXPOSED RUB RAILS BETWEEN TIRES ONLY ALL
OTHER TUBING MUST BE COVERED BY BODY.
No excessive rusted frames
ENGINE:
#1 PLUG MAX OF 12” BEHIND CENTER ADJUSTING BOLT OF STEERING BOX. THIS MAY NOT BE STOCK
Max 361ci Chevy, 363ci for Ford, 365ci for Chrysler.
No polishing, porting, or machine work allowed on any part of engine except for overbore.
Stock OEM cast iron heads allowed.
NO ANGLE PLUG HEADS ALLOWED.
Max 2.02 intake valves, 1.6 exhaust valve.
NO VORTEC, BOWTIE OR HIGH PERFORMANCE HEADS ALLOWED.
No Titanium parts allowed, stock valve stem diameter.
Maximum valve work allowed will be limited to 3 angle valve seats, no hand blending, acid work. All machining must be cut concentric to valve guide. Heads will be checked using the DIRT ball check method. Intake ball size will be .787 and exhaust will be .531, if the ball falls past the valve seat and into the cylinder, the cylinder head will be illegal. No Protest on test result.
Pinned or screw in studs allowed. No stud girdles.
No roller or roller tipped rockers.
Stock OEM type rockers only.
Flat top or dish piston only.
Aftermarket connecting rods may be used if they are a direct replacement for stock OEM in length and weight. The connecting rod must have a bolt and nut fastener ONLY. Rod must meet or exceed the factory stock weight of the rod it replaces. Stock length rods for engine being used. No 6 Inch rods.
Stock factory cast iron block with stock stroke for block, No strokers.
No interchange between company’s on engine parts.
Aftermarket crankshafts may be used if they are a direct replacement for stock. Minimum weight is 50 lbs. No scalloped counterweights, no reduced diameter counterweights, no gundrilled crankshafts. Stock factory OEM bearing diameters only. Normal balancing, with drilling perpendicular to main journals only. Stroke must remain stock.
Camshaft must be hydraulic flat tappet only, No mushroom or rollers, stock factory lifter diameters, GM - .842.
Double roller timing chain and gear allowed, No gear drive, belt drives.
Oil pan must have inspection hole 1 ¼ inches in diameter. MUST BE UNOBSTRUCTED!
Location: 9 ½ inches from rear of block base or 4 ½ inches from front block base, 1 ¼ inches from oil pan rail.
No inspection hole will require oil pan to be removed for internal inspection.
HEADERS:
Street type headers allowed 1 5/8” max diameter, (inside of frame rails) must have 3 bolt flange. No cross over headers.
Exhaust 3” OD diameter pipe must exit past driver. No flex pipe.
Pipe must be solid with no holes. Only one pipe per side.
May run cast-iron manifolds
Mufflers are mandatory at Genesee Speedway, Offset inlet and outlet mufflers only.
No straight through or Glass pack mufflers allowed.
Fuel Gasoline only.
FUEL CELL is mandatory and must be securely mounted in trunk area of car inside.
20 gage metal box supported by two metal straps 1/8 x2”
Fuel line must be inside conduit if run through the inside of car.
No fuel additives
Stock type fuel pumps, must be stock configuration. No electric pumps allowed.
Ignition:
Stock OEM distributor must be Hei electronic or single point.
MODULE MUST REMAIN OEM OR OEM TYPE.
No mags, No MSD systems.
Intake and Carb:
Must have stock unaltered cast iron OEM 2-barrel intake manifold with no modifications.
No high-rise manifolds allowed.
Must have stock OEM 2 barrel Carb or unaltered Holley 4412. No HP Holley's allowed
These will be teched, all tracks have the same gauges, 1.130” maximum gaskets, spacer or adapter between Carb and manifold.
Choke plates can be removed, choke horn must stay, no aftermarket metering blocks, no HP metering blocks. Jets and power valves may be changed
TIRES AND WHEELS:
Max 8” steel racing wheels mandatory – Beadlocks right rear only.

No grooving, siping, softening or treating of tires allowed. Grinding is permitted.
Minimum tire hardness durometer after race will be 45, the track durometer gauge will be FINAL.
SUSPENSION:
ALL STOCK PARTS MUST HAVE COME ON THE CAR THAT YOU ARE USING.
Metric GM may use bigger spindle (impala) for safety only.
Parts must be stock and in stock position, Ford 9” must have all brackets in stock GM mounting position.
Stock Configuration-steel shaft aftermarket upper a-frames non adjustable permitted.
Adjustable spring buckets may be used all Four Corners, NO JACK BOLTS ALLOWED
No slider type shackles allowed on leaf spring cars
Steering quickeners allowed.
Aftermarket power steering pumps allowed.
RE-BUILDABLE STEEL SHOCKS PERMITTED . PRICING NOT TO EXCEED $90.00 U.S. PER SHOCK.
ONE STEEL NON ADJUSTABLE SHOCK ABSORBER PER WHEEL, MOUNTED IN STOCK LOCATION.
NON ADJUSTABLE REAR TRAIL ARMS PERMITTED MUST BE STOCK MEASUREMENT AS CAR BEING USED.
NO OFFSET BUSHINGS.
Transmission and rear-end:
Transmission must be OEM automatic with all working gears, Stock 10” converter minimum, No solid converters.
Standard transmission, stock single disk, 10” flywheel and pressure plate, No grinding or lightening, Steel only. All gears must work.
A scatter shield or blanket is recommended.
FORD 9” rear end will be allowed with stock type axles, no floater rear ends allowed.
Rear end brackets must match same dimensions as stock mounting on car being used.
Rear end must be locked.
WEIGHT:
Cars must be a minimum of 3100 pounds with driver after race.
Altered firewall cars will be weighed before race for maximum 50% rear percentage weight and must be 3100 lbs after the race.
All weights must be attached to the frame with TWO ½ inch bolts in each piece, no threaded rods.
NUMBERS/LETTERING:
ALL CARS TO BE ADEQUATELY NUMBERED WITH 18” HIGH NUMBERS ON BOTH SIDES, ROOF.
(RECOMMENDED) REAR DECK NUMBER FOR SCORING PURPOSES.
CONSISTENT WITH THE DIRT RULES, ALL CLASSES (INCLUDING STREET STOCKS) WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE THEIR NAME ABOVE, BELOW, OR THRU THEIR NUMBERS WITH AT LEAST 6” LETTERS.
NO DUPLICATE NUMBERS.
3 OR MORE NUMBERS/LETTERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOU BEING SCORED CORRECTLY.
CAR MUST BE NEATLY PAINTED AND LETTERED.
TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR RACECAR AND OPERATION. CREWS MUST ALSO BE NEAT AND PRESENTABLE. BE PROFESSIONAL.
AVOID DARK COLORS UNLESS CONTRASTING STRIPE OR COLOR PANELS ARE USED. THIS IS FOR YOUR PROTECTION.
